£600,000 saved in Kings CrossPosted: 15/09/2009
Cyril Leonard has recently acted on behalf of national charity British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) on a number of rent reviews in respect of their property in Kings Cross. A number of historic rent reviews were outstanding and the charity was facing both a dramatic increase in rent (approximately 300%) together with a huge back rent bill of over £600,000 from their Landlord. Following extensive negotiations, Cyril Leonard's Landlord & Tenant team was successful in persuading the Landlord to reduce the rent levels being sought together with a total waiver of any back rent owed as a result of the reviews being agreed. Further savings to BTCV have been achieved by Cyril Leonard's Building Surveying team in respect of an interim schedule of dilapidations and advice in respect of ongoing repairs to the property. Cyril Leonard works hard to promote a diverse service that gives a client a single source of advice and expertise from a range of specialist departments and individuals whilst providing a consistent point of contact for the client. Cyril Leonard is very pleased to have been of assistance to BTCV and hope that the savings achieved help towards achieving their worthy vision - to create a better environment where people are valued, included and involved. Since 1959, BTCV has built a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world.
