This US telecoms giant required 35,000 – 50,000 sq ft in the City to operate as a call centre for its T-mobile operation. We successfully negotiated an underlease on Defoe Court, Featherstone Street, EC1, a 52,000 sq ft Cat A office building constructed in the 80’s, used by BT as a digital exchange. We agreed a rent of £11.00 psf, capping a forthcoming rent review and agreeing a rent free period equivalent to £1,330,000 plus a capital sum of £450,000 as a contribution towards returning the floors to a Cat A specification.
