Cyril Leonard advised ABTA on the simultaneous
disposal of their former headquarters at 68-71 Newman Street, London W1 and the
acquisition and fit-out of their new air conditioned office headquarters of
8,500 sq ft (789 m²) at 30 Park Street, close to Borough Market in London SE1.
ABTA entered into a new 10 year lease with a tenant break at year five at a
rent equating to £42.50 per sq ft. The design and project management work was
for a ‘paperless’ office.
Newman Street, which provides 18,000 sq ft (1,672 m²) of net lettable
office accommodation, was let on a new 10 year lease to Buro Happold at a
rental which equates to £35.83 per sq ft overall.
